Acceptable Use Policy

GoTo.now exists to make sharing links faster and more trustworthy. To keep the platform safe for everyone, all users agree to the rules below. This policy applies to every short link, QR code and API request on the service.

You may not use GoTo.now to link to or distribute

• Phishing, malware or spyware - Pages that impersonate other services, steal credentials, or install unwanted software.
• Fraud and scams - Deceptive offers, fake stores, pyramid schemes, or content designed to mislead.
• Illegal content - Anything that violates applicable law, including content that exploits minors, promotes violence, or infringes intellectual property at scale.
• Spam - Bulk unsolicited messaging where our links are used to evade filters, or link cloaking designed to defeat platform moderation.
• Adult content without labeling - Destinations must not disguise explicit content behind innocuous-looking links.

Operational rules

• Do not attempt to overwhelm the service with automated requests outside the documented API and your provisioned limits.
• Do not create links that redirect in deceptive loops or chain through multiple shorteners to obscure the destination.
• Do not scrape other users' statistics at scale.

Bio pages and profile photos

Link-in-bio pages (goto.now/b/...) follow the same rules as short links, plus:

• No adult, sexually explicit or shocking imagery in profile photos or anywhere on a bio page. This is enforced without warnings - Violating accounts are banned and their pages removed.
• No impersonation of another person or brand in the page title, photo or links.
• Collected subscriber emails belong to the page owner and must not be used for spam.

Enforcement

We scan and review links reported through our Report URLs page and via automated signals.

What happens to a violating link

It's disabled platform-wide - The short code stops redirecting for everyone at once. Repeat or egregious offenders lose access entirely, including API keys.

If you disagree

Genuine false positives exist. Contact support with the link and context; wrongly disabled links are restored quickly and we say so plainly.

Where required, we cooperate with law enforcement.

Reporting

Found a goto.now link doing something it shouldn't? Report it on the Report URLs page. We review reports promptly.

Examples that make the lines clear

Linking to your store's sale page? Fine. Linking to a page that looks like someone else's store login? Banned. A newsletter signup? Fine. A "verify your account in 2 hours" page? Banned - And reported to hosts. When a real case sits near a line, we decide on the side of the person who'd click it.

Quick self-check before you create a link

Ask three things. Is the destination mine or one I trust? Would I click this myself? Does the page do what my message says it does? Three yes answers mean you're fine. Any no means stop.
