Sometimes you want to see where a link goes and be one click from continuing. That's what the preview page is for - A built-in pause button for any goto.now link.

Add /p/ to pause any redirect

Add /p/ before any short code - Goto.now/p/abc12 - And you get a preview page instead of an instant redirect: it shows the destination domain, the full URL and the page title, with a Continue to destination button and a short countdown.

No tools, no account, no setup - The trick works on every goto.now link that exists, and anyone can use it, not just the link's owner.

Situations where the pause pays off

• A link from an unknown sender in email or DMs - See the domain before you commit.
• Checking a link on your phone, where hovering to preview a URL isn't possible.
• Teaching someone less web-savvy a safe habit: "add /p/ and read before you tap."

It's the cautious way to open links from unknown senders, and the page the link checker offers after a lookup.

What the link's owner sees

Continuing still counts the click normally for the link's owner. Landing on the preview page alone doesn't register anything - Only pressing Continue to destination does. So owners get honest numbers (real visits, not hesitations), and cautious readers lose nothing by previewing first. If the preview makes you change your mind, just close the tab - No click recorded, no harm done.
