Account & security
Delete your account
You can close your account any time - It's one email, and there's nothing to cancel because nothing was ever billed.
How to request deletion
Email support from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We remove your account record and its link history from your dashboard.
Before you send it, run through this quick list:
- Save any short URLs you might want to reference later - The dashboard list goes away with the account.
- Screenshot or export any stats you still need; analytics are unreachable once the account is gone.
- Note which links, if any, should be disabled (see below).
Why sending from the account email matters
That "from" address is how we verify the request is really yours. Deletion is permanent, so we won't act on a request from an unrelated address - It protects you from someone else closing your account.
What happens to your links
One important nuance: short links you created keep redirecting - People out in the world may depend on them, and dead links punish your audience, not you. A QR code on someone's fridge or a link in an old forum post keeps working; you simply lose the dashboard that managed them.
If specific links must also be disabled, list them in the same email and we'll review them together with the deletion. That's the right call for links pointing somewhere private or created by mistake - One email handles both jobs at once.
