Signing in with Google
Click Sign up with Google / Sign in with Google on the account page. One click, no form, and you're in.
What Google actually shares with us
We receive your email address from Google and nothing else:
- No contacts.
- No drive access.
- No calendar, photos, or anything beyond the address itself.
The email is only used to know which account is yours. If you've ever hesitated over an OAuth consent screen that wanted half your Google account, this isn't that - The permission scope is as small as it gets.
One email, one account
If an account with that email already exists, Google sign-in logs into it (the two methods share one account). That means you can't accidentally split your links across two accounts by mixing sign-in methods - Same email, same dashboard, same link history, whichever button you press today.
Passwords on a Google account
Google-created accounts have no password until you set one; use the password form in Settings only after a password exists, otherwise sign in with Google and contact support if you want to add one.
Why add a password at all? A few people like a fallback for devices where they're not signed into Google, or they plan to stop using that Google account someday. If that's you, ask support once and you'll have both doors open. If not, Google-only is perfectly safe - Your GoTo.now access is then protected by Google's own security, including any two-factor setup you have there.
