Change your password

Changing your password takes under a minute and you won't get logged out mid-task.

Update it from Settings

  1. Open Settings in your dashboard.
  2. Under Security & authentication, enter your current password and the new one (6+ characters).
  3. Click Update password.

You stay signed in on this device - No interruption, no re-login dance.

Choosing a password that holds up

Length beats cleverness. Three or four random words ("marble-tuna-sunset-42") are both stronger and easier to remember than "P@ssw0rd!". Better yet, let a password manager generate and store one for you. And never reuse the password from your email account - That one guards everything else.

When the current-password check keeps failing

If the current password check fails and you're sure it's right, you may have signed up with Google - See signing in with Google. Google-created accounts don't have a password at first, so there's no "current password" to enter; that's the single most common reason this form rejects people who are certain they're typing the right thing.

Quick way to check: think back to how you joined. If you remember clicking a Google button rather than typing a password twice, you have a Google account. Sign in with Google as usual, and if you'd like a password added alongside it, contact support and we'll sort it out. Good moments to rotate your password anyway: after using a shared computer, or if the same password lives on another site that had a breach.

Didn't solve it? Contact support - Include the short link in question and we'll take a look.
