Do GoTo.now links expire?
No. Links never expire and there's no click limit.
Built to outlast the campaign
That's a deliberate difference from many shorteners that retire free links after months of inactivity. A goto.now link printed on packaging or a poster today will still redirect years from now - Which is exactly why our QR codes are safe to print.
Why permanence is the whole point
Imagine a book with a QR code inside the back cover. Readers might scan it five years after printing. If the link behind that code could expire, every old copy becomes a dead end. Because goto.now links last, you can put them on things with long lives: product labels, signage, business cards, engraved plaques. And since destinations stay editable, the page behind that five-year-old code can be this year's page.
The two ways a link can stop working
The only ways a link stops working:
- Its destination goes offline (the redirect still fires, but the site behind it is gone). Fix: edit the destination.
- The link violated the Acceptable Use Policy and was disabled after review.
Notice what's not on that list: inactivity, low clicks, guest-created links, or not paying - Because there's nothing to pay. If a link you rely on seems broken, test the destination URL directly first. Nine times out of ten the short link is fine and the site behind it moved; a quick destination edit brings the whole thing back to life without resharing anything.
